SAMPAGUITA

Singit muna before beginning my revisions.

After fetching my cousins (Ca and Cla) at UST, we went straight to Pearl Drive to buy food for my sick cousin (Ian). I was really craving for sweets until I saw Cake 2 Go. Everybody went out of the car to buy something to munch on at home for dinner. Cla bought yogurt, tita bought noodles for mom and Ian, and before I accompany Caca to buy something to drink, she accompanied me to buy a slice of cake.

The highlight of the story started when I came along with Caca to buy something to drink. Upon ordering, one street child carrying a used tray entered the store while singing “Call Me Maybe” with different lyrics. He was kinda dirty and he looks not worried about his current life situation. My cousin and I find him cute when he sang but deep within me, I felt kinda sad for that child.

Dahil sa paghihintay namin ng order, we sat somewhere near the door and two girls entered – offering sampaguita. Wala daw magulang nila at di pa sila kumakain. Lalo akong naawa sa mga batang yun. I handed my wallet and got 40 pesos to buy those sampaguitas. And ayun.

And ayun.

I just think of my action as a help.

I just hope that the money I gave those angels will be spent for their food tonight or tomorrow.

Here’s the combined pictures of the fresh flowers I bought from the little angels I encountered.
